BEASTS AND SUPER-BEASTS By Saki

Tales of the uncanny and the macabre from one of the greatest masters of the short story genre.

A solo performance by Richard Spaul.

A dying woman declares that she will be reincarnated in animal form. A mad idea, surely? But when a mysterious otter starts rampaging through house and garden, her best friend begins to have doubts.

A starving man knocks on the door or a strange house to beg a glass of milk. But it seems he is expected.

A sickly boy has a pet polecat, which he believes is a pagan god. And a violent one.

Using his formidable vocal range and shapeshifting powers of characterisation, actor, singer and storyteller Richard Spaul brings to life three of Saki’s greatest stories, combined with songs from Jazz and Blues traditions.

Funny, macabre and atmospheric, Beasts and Super-Beasts follows the success of in situ:’s Ghost Stories trilogy and explores the world of one of our greatest writers.

Running time 110 minutes approx. Suitable for 16+
