The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer

This production is in collaboration with Cambridge Past, Present and Future.

Chaucer’s famous cycle of stories – ‘rude, funny, romantic, sexual, magical and unforgettably brilliant.’

in situ:‘s walkaround production, a revival of our sell-out performances in 2005 and 2006 takes place inside, outside and all around the beautiful and atmospheric Leper Chapel.

Outside: stories from rude Reeves, risque Merchants, romantic Knights, creepy Pardoners and just plain dirty Millers.

Inside: eerie recitations in original Middle English, chants and vocalisations; alchemy;scholarship.

The mysterious inner workings of the medieval psyche.
