Hedda Gabler – January 2005

January, 2005
Venue: The House
Time: 8pm

Dealing with the inner demons and destructive passions of a socially and sexually repressive society, Hedda Gabler caused scandal, shock and loathing when first performed in England. Like much of Ibsen’s work, however, it has subsequently been neutralized by old-fashioned productions methods that have scarcely changed over more than a century.in situ:’s performance aims to put the shock, disturbance and complexity back into Ibsen’s masterpiece through the innovative performance practices the group has been developing since its creation in 2000.
